Fauna

 

I am drawn to the little critters we see around us in daily life.  They add so much to each day - the beauty of a setting sun making golden the wings of a duck flying overhead, the antics of squirrels chasing around in the large maple in my backyard or trying to get nuts out of the feeder, and the variety and color of the finches, hummingbirds, sparrows, jays, yellow-billed magpies and occasional phoebe that visit.   Our only "pets," now that the kids are adults, are those that live in our backyard.   This includes the koi in our pond, the squirrels in our trees and the birds that come to visit our feeders and flowers.  [Click on each picture to enlarge it and see information about the painting.]
